All volunteers at Turtle Lake need to have a current background check on file with the school. Those forms are available below.

Open PTA Roles

 

Fall Festival Coordinators (2 Openings) (Daytime availability/flexibility helpful)

  • Delegate individual tasks to team members. 
  • Identify volunteer needs in the planning portion of the event 
  • Organize tickets and set up ticket booth at Carnival 
  • Ensure tasks are done in a timely manner 
  • Provide reports to Board 
  • Attendance at PTA meeting prior to event encouraged, detailed update to Board required 
  • Provide post-event debrief to ensure documents created/used are in the PTA drive

 

Restaurant Nights

  • Lead contacts local restaurants to host fundraisers benefiting Turtle Lake Elementary
  • Provides dates of scheduled restaurant nights as well as any marketing materials from the restaurant to Communications for inclusion on website, newsletters, and weekly Turtle Tracks emails
  • Follows up with restaurants after events to collect payment of money raised
  • Provides timely updates to board
  • Attendance at PTA meetings appreciated

 

Staff Appreciation (2 Openings) (Requires day time availability)

  • Plans/Acquires foods for Back to School breakfast (before school year starts) 
  • Plans/Acquires foods/snacks for staff at Parent Communication Nights (twice a year)
  • Staff Appreciation Week (early May) 
    • Plans the events for the week 
    • With the help of a team, acquires food/supplies for the week
    • Identifies volunteer needs
  • Attendance at PTA meetings appreciated

Book Fair Assistant

  • Assist the current lead with tasks as necessary
  • learn the process of organizing the book fair and how to manage proceeds after the sale
